Spencer Horwitz Announces Commitment to Team Israel for 2026 World Baseball Classic

New York, NY – February 3, 2026 – Spencer Horwitz, accomplished first and second baseman for the Pittsburgh Pirates, has officially committed to representing Team Israel in the 2026 World Baseball Classic. Horwitz made the exclusive announcement during his appearance on the latest episode of the “Amazin’ Conversations with Jay Horwitz” podcast, released today.

Horwitz’s commitment is a major development for the Israeli national team. Known for his disciplined plate approach and ability to play multiple positions, he will be a foundational piece of the team’s offense. His addition to the roster further solidifies Israel’s status as a formidable contender on the world stage.
